Overview
The Enhanced Search function within AdviserLogic’s Digital Advice module is designed to help you quickly locate tools, research, and functionality without navigating through multiple menus. This feature improves efficiency by allowing you to search across available options and access relevant results in fewer clicks. It supports a smoother workflow, especially when working with investment research and advice tools.
Product Search in Digital Advice
To improve the accuracy and efficiency of searching for investment options, we have made several changes to the investment search feature
These changes are outlined in more detail below and have been made within the following sections
Fact Find > Superannuation
Digital Advice Scenarios
Advice Tools
Search each word separately rather than in sequence
Previously, it was important to search by the correct phrase e.g., “CFS Asian Growth” to return the result including “CFS Asian Growth Fund.”
Now you can search “CFS Growth” to return any results containing these individual words. This increases the scope of the search and returns more results to select from.
Spaces interpreted as symbols
Previously, it was important to use symbols accurately in your searches e.g., “Multi-Index” would return a different result from “Multi Index.”
Now, omitting special symbols (-, :, /, & etc.) will result in each space being treated as a symbol, so results will be less dependent on the inclusion of these symbols.
Highlighting the search term in the results
The searched words will now show in the results with a light blue highlight, making it easier to identify the product you are searching for.
Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated.
Showing more products in search results
The top 50 matches to your search will display immediately, but as you review these, further results will display when you reach the end of this list. You can continue to scroll until you find the product you are looking for.
Will these changes be applied to other sections?
We are currently working on making these changes available in the Asset section, AFSL console and various other screens with search functionality to improve overall user experience.
Additionally, further enhancements of the search functionality are planned to continue to improve results and to reduce the search time.
