Overview
Industry Super Funds are not-for-profit superannuation funds that provide retirement benefits for members. Adding an Industry Super Fund correctly in AdviserLogic ensures that:
✔ Superannuation balances and contributions are accurately recorded.
✔ Beneficiary nominations are documented for estate planning.
✔ Fund details are seamlessly integrated into financial modelling and strategy development.

If you need to add a Platform Super Fund, please follow the Platform Super instructions instead.
How to Add an Industry Superfund
To add a superfund navigate to the Fact Find from your client's record
From the Fact Find Financial Screen – Select Superannuation from the top menu bar.
From the Fact Find Tab – Hover over Fact Find and select Superannuation from the drop-down options.
Select the blue +plus button from the Client or Partner to add a superfund.
When selecting the blue plus button to add a Superfund, there is an option for the Type of fund (Platform/Industry) within the drop-down menu, in the top left of the pop-up window. Select Industry Super from this drop-down.
📌 Important
Unless Industry Super is selected as the Platform Type, you will not be able to enter it as a fund.
Enter Super Fund Details
Fill in the required fields in the pop-up window, as outlined below.
Industry Super Fund Fields & Descriptions
Field | Description |
Name* | The name associated with the fund. This name will be populated by the Platform name if not changed. |
Member* | The membership name or identifier for the super fund. |
Industry Superfund Name* | The name of the Industry Super Fund . You may only choose IndustrySuper funds from the available drop-down options |
Account Number* | The unique account number for the superannuation fund. |
Account Status* | Indicates whether the account is active or inactive. |
Issue Date | The date the super account was issued. |
Estate Option | Specifies whether the estate is nominated as the beneficiary:

Last Review Date | The date of the last review of the superannuation details. |
Taxable Component | The portion of the super balance that is taxable. |
Tax-Free Component | The portion of the super balance that is tax-free. |
As at Date | The date when the super fund details were last updated. |
Notes | Additional comments or details related to the super fund entry. |

Ensure all details are correct and Save to update the client’s financial profile.
Apply Underlying Investments
Once you have saved the Superfund, an option will show to add underlying Investments
Select the blue +plus button to add the underlying investments
Choose from:
Australian Shares | enter the ASX code or the company name in the Description field. A list of matching options will automatically appear—simply select the correct share from the autopopulated list. |
Bank Deposit |

Managed Funds | Type the fund name or APIR code in the Description field and select the correct option from the auto-populated list. |
Other | For alternative investments (e.g., private equity, collectibles), manually enter the investment name and details. |
Industry Super | Choose from the available Industry super options |
Setting the Super Fund to Pension Phase in AdviserLogic
If the Superfund is pension paying, then slide the Pension paying account toggle to Yes.
The Pension details will open under the existing window, enter the required fields and select Save from the bottom right of the window.
Minimum | The minimum pension payment amount required for compliance. |
Amount Type | Defines whether the pension amount is fixed or variable. |
Indexation Rate (%) | The percentage rate at which the pension payment increases annually. |
Payment Amount | The total annual pension payment the client will receive. |
Assessment for Asset Test (%) | The percentage of the pension account assessed for Centrelink asset testing. |
TTR Pension | Specifies if the pension is a Transition to Retirement (TTR) pension. |
TTR Duration (yr) | The expected duration (in years) of the TTR pension phase. |
Apply Deeming Rates | Determines if deeming rates should be applied to the pension account for income testing. |
Deductible Amount | The tax-free portion of the pension payments. |
Growth (%) | The expected capital growth rate of the pension account. |
Income (%) | The expected income return generated from pension investments. |
Imputation Credits (%) | The percentage of franking credits applicable to pension income. |
Tax Free (%) | The percentage of the pension payment that is tax-free. |
Description* | A mandatory field to enter additional details about the pension fund. |
