Copy File Notes in AdviserLogic

Overview

The Copy File Notes functionality allows you to transfer all file notes from one client to another. This feature is designed to streamline the process of managing client information by enabling bulk transfers of file notes, ensuring consistency and completeness in client records.

This feature does not allow copying individual file notes, all notes from the source client will be transferred to the destination client.

​Access to Copy File Notes

Navigate to Tools > Adviser Tools > General > Copy File Notes.


The Copy File Notes screen is divided into two sections, the left side allows you to select the source client from which the file notes will be transferred, and the right side determines the client receiving the file notes.


Copying File Note Between Clients

To copy file notes from one client to another, first, enter the name of the source client in the search field on the left-hand From Client section, and select them from the list. Then, enter the name of the destination client in the search field in the To Client section and select them from the populated list.


After entering the required client names, confirm the action to copy all file notes from the source client to the destination client by selecting Copy File Notes.

📌Note

This feature does not support the selective copying of individual file notes. All notes associated with the source client will be transferred to the destination client.


By using the Copy File Notes functionality, you can efficiently manage and transfer comprehensive client information, ensuring that all relevant notes are preserved and accurately reflected in the destination client’s records.
