Overview

The standard client list export in AdviserLogic does not include client categories. Additionally, standard exports do not accommodate the inclusion of client partners or detailed segmentation options, which might be necessary for comprehensive reporting.

This includes fields such as Client Status and Client Category, which are essential for tailored reporting.

To include these, you need to use the Segment Report module, which allows you to customise fields and generate detailed client reports.

The Segment Report module is one of two primary tools available for creating comprehensive reports, the other being the Database Segmentation tool, which provides more advanced segmentation based on adviser or group criteria. Familiarizing yourself with these tools will significantly enhance your reporting capabilities.

Access

You can access the Segment Report module from the main navigation menu in AdviserLogic. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to generate and export reports. Similarly, the Database Segmentation tool can also be accessed through the navigation menu, provided you have the required permissions to create and manage segments.

Using Segment Reports to Include Client Categories and Status

To export a client list with categories, start by opening the Segment Report module within AdviserLogic. When setting up your report, you can include partners by customising the fields to display both "Entity Full Name" and "Entity Partner Full Name" for a unified view.

Expand the "Entities" category to select both "Client Category" and "Client Status," ensuring comprehensive data inclusion.

Once inside, create a new report and proceed to the setup screen. In the report setup, choose the fields you want to include, such as client name, contact details, and client category.

For instance, you can select fields such as "Client Status," "Client Category," and key financial metrics to tailor the report to specific needs.

Adjust any filters as needed to refine the list. After customizing your report, generate it by selecting the appropriate output option.

Double-check the selection of fields like Client Category and Client Status to ensure they appear in the report output.

Additional Tips

  • Explore all the functionalities within the Segment Report module to maximize its potential. Customize fields for detailed reporting.

  • Refer to AdviserLogic's documentation for step-by-step guides and troubleshooting.

Finally, export the report to your preferred format, such as Excel or CSV, for further use. Once exported, you can sort the data using spreadsheet software, such as arranging the client and partner names alphabetically or organizing by adviser-specific details.
