Efficiently managing your practice's data involves scheduling database segmentation reports. Regularly segmenting your database enables you to create personalized reports that empower informed decision-making and improve customer engagement. This guide offers a step-by-step approach to set up and handle report schedules, ensuring that your segmented data is always current, relevant, and poised to support your business objectives.
Within the Database Segmentation module, you can schedule segment reports for downloading to an FTP server. reports to be downloaded to an FTP server.
Access
To access this feature within Database Segmentation navigate to Tools > Adviser Tools > Database Reporting > Database Segmentation
You can also access the Segments by clicking on the icon in the top right menu panel.
Select the Schedule Segments Report option from the database segmentation screen to open it.
Enter the necessary data in the available fields and select the relevant reports from the Reports drop-down menu to proceed.

Set to Daily as a Default. You can change this from dropdown options once you have linked the connection. | |
Select the reports you want to schedule for downloading from the dropdown. The list will only include the default segments and all shared segments. | |
Once all the fields have been entered or selected, select the link button to initiate the connection. | |
Choose the Unlink button to sever the connection. |
SFTP Address/Username/Password
SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol, a method primarily used for securely migrating data between systems.
To schedule Database Segmentation reports, you can obtain your SFTP server details from your IT team and enter them in this field. Once configured, AdviserLogic will automatically send the report directly to your system.
Schedule Report
The frequency is set to daily by default, so they don't get overridden. You can access all reports on a daily basis directly from the servers, ensuring that all data is retained and available for review whenever needed.
Once you have linked the server you can choose the report frequency from the drop-downs.
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
Yearly
Select Reports
Choose from your existing reports from the Select Reports drop-down.
Link
Once all the fields have been entered or selected, select the link button to initiate the connection.
The server will check all the details and, if all information is correct, will connect the function to your server. If you edit any field and select Link again, the information will be changed.
Unlink
If you want to stop the automatic download of reports, select the Unlink button.
💡Tip
We have changed the way back-dated reports are handled in Scheduled Segment Reports.
With the latest update, you can create a folder within your server (Filezilla, etc) to link with the ADL scheduled segment folder. This will ensure this folder is automatically updated with the latest date reports.
To access back-dated folders, users should save arriving files and organize them into specific folders as needed.
