Overview

Welcome to our flagship Cashflow Modeling tool. This guide is your go-to resource for navigating and unlocking the powerful features, thoughtfully designed to elevate your financial modelling experience.

The updated tool offers innovative interactivity and a user-friendly design. We have simplified the process, bringing your financial scenarios to life like never before. Say goodbye to complexity and hello to an intuitive, dynamic, and engaging way to model cash flow.

The new Holistic Cashflow module has been modularised to streamline and simplify financial advice modelling.

This modular design lets you focus on individual components of your cashflow model, improving navigation and enabling smoother scenario-building.

The primary sections of this module are:

  • All - Allows you to see all your created Scenarios as a list or tiles

  • Financial Summary - Allows you to see all your client's Financial details as entered in Fact Find

  • Cashflow Modelling - Allows you to develop comprehensive financial modelling to support your advice

👉 Please Note

This phase of the release supports individual and SMSF modelling. Multi-entity modelling will be introduced soon as we continue development and testing.

Access

To embark on your Cashflow 3.0 holistic journey, you'll need to access the tool directly from a client account. This is where your enhanced financial modelling experience begins.

Navigate to the Holistic tool from the client’s Cashflow tab by hovering over it and selecting Holistic Model from the drop-down.

Create New

Select Create New Scenario to begin building your financial scenario. This is the first step in crafting a tailored financial plan that meets your client's needs.

A confirmation pop-up will show with a system-created Scenario Name field and a confirmation button. This field is editable. Select Create Scenario+ to create the new Scenario.

Navigation

The scenario you have created will open on the Financial Summary, providing a clear breakdown of your client’s existing Net Cashflow, Income, Expenses, Assets, and Liabilities, each displayed in individual tiles.

📌Note

  • All data in the initial scenario is extracted from the Fact Find and Assets/Liabilities screens.

  • Any discrepancies identified can be reviewed and adjusted in their respective sections.

  • This ensures that the financial scenario reflects the most accurate and up-to-date information.

From this screen, you can navigate to the All-Scenarios List, showing a list of previously created scenarios, or the Add Scenarios page, where you can add new scenarios. These are in the top left corner of the window.

💡You can open multiple scenarios simultaneously

Scenario Management

In the Financial Summary window, you will see the scenario name displayed at the top left.

After the scenario name, there is a three-dot options drop-down menu and a Duplicate button.

Within the three-dot menu you will find:

Rename

Allows you to rename your scenario, giving you the flexibility to customise the scenario title to better reflect the specific financial model you're working on.

Duplicate

Lets you quickly create an exact copy of your current scenario.

This feature is useful for experimenting with different financial models or making adjustments without altering the original scenario

Close Tab

This action will exit the scenario and return you to the List screen

Delete

Allows you to delete the scenario

Set as baseline

Allows you to designate the current scenario as the reference point for comparison with other scenarios.

By setting a scenario as the baseline, you can easily track changes and measure the impact of different financial decisions against this standard.

We have added a Pin button allowing you to keep your most important or frequently used scenarios easily accessible. By pinning a scenario, it will remain at the top of your scenarios list for quick reference and efficient workflow management.

Duplicate Button

Just like the "Duplicate" option within the drop-down menu, it allows you to create a copy of the scenario with a single click. Making it easy to experiment with different variations without altering the original scenario

These features allow you to manage your scenarios efficiently, providing quick access to additional settings and the ability to replicate your current scenario for further modelling.

📌Note

These options are available in both the Financial Summary and Cashflow Modeling windows, giving you the flexibility to manage the

scenario, no matter which section you're working in.

Financial Summary Window

Data Management

Beneath the Financial Summary, you’ll see a list of headings that allow you to navigate to different functions within the tool. These headings make it easy to access various features and ensure you have all the tools to build and refine your financial scenarios.

Snapshot

The landing page of the Financial Summary, provides a comprehensive snapshot of your client's financial situation, displaying all their income and assets alongside their liabilities. This overview gives you a clear and concise view of their financial standing, making it easier to assess and plan their financial future.

Income

Zooms in on the client’s income, offering a detailed view of all income sources. This allows for a more focused analysis of the client's earnings, contributing to a thorough understanding of their overall financial health.

Expenses

Provides a granular view of the client’s expenses, breaking down all outflows in detail. This detailed analysis helps you understand where the client’s money is going and identify potential areas for adjustment or improvement in their financial plan.

Assets

Offers a detailed view of the client’s assets, highlighting their holdings and investments. This comprehensive breakdown allows you to assess the value and composition of the client’s portfolio, contributing to a complete understanding of their financial position.

Liabilities

Provides a detailed overview of the client’s debts and obligations, including loans, mortgages, and other financial liabilities. This breakdown is essential for understanding the client’s financial commitments and how they impact their overall financial health.

Goals

Outlines the client’s financial objectives, such as saving for retirement, purchasing a home, or funding education. This area helps you track and manage the client's progress towards these goals, ensuring that their financial plan is aligned with their long-term aspirations.

These options allow you to specifically review and edit Income, Expenses, Assets, Liabilities, and Goals:

  • Add Missing Entries - You can add any entries that may have been overlooked during the Fact Find process, ensuring all financial details are captured.

  • Edit Details - If needed, you can adjust any figures, change the frequency of transactions, apply indexation, or modify start/end dates to better reflect the client’s situation.

  • Toggle Entries On or Off - Each entry can be toggled on or off, allowing you to include or exclude it from calculations. For instance, if you want to exclude a lifestyle asset, select the toggle to ignore it in the calculations.

This flexibility ensures that the scenario reflects the most accurate and relevant financial information.

⚠️Important⚠️

Finally, beneath the headings, you’ll notice a button that allows you to select which entity’s financial data you wish to view. Select the toggle next to the entry you wish to exclude from your Modelling, and select Save from the top right of the window.

Cashflow Modelling

Once you have reviewed the data and added any missing entries, you can begin using the Cashflow Modelling section. This section allows you to easily present data in a graphic format, making it more engaging and effective for client conversations. It's also essential to highlight the underlying data, ensuring that the visuals are backed by accurate information.

The improved Cashflow application offers the best of both worlds allowing you to easily switch between views, display multiple charts on the same screen, and adjust parameters to see how changes impact the overall financial scenario.

Strategies in Cashflow

From the Cashflow Modelling window, you can manually adjust returns, add data, and create custom strategies for investments, superannuation, or loan repayments.

Additionally, AdviserLogic offers an automatic strategy configuration tool called Auto Cashflow to efficiently manage surpluses and deficits. This feature provides two key options:

Percentage Allocation

You can allocate a specific percentage of the surplus or deficit to various strategies.

👉 Example

If managing a surplus, you could set up the following allocations:

  • Contribute to Superannuation A – 50%

  • Repay Home Loan 1 – 20%

  • Repay Property Loan – 20%

  • Invest in Platform A – 10%

The system will automatically distribute the surplus according to these percentages over the selected period. A similar approach is applied to deficit management.

Priority Sequence

Define the order in which surplus or deficit is addressed.

👉 Example

If managing a deficit, you may prioritise:

  • Redeem Investment 1 – Priority 1

  • Redeem Investment 2 – Priority 2

  • Drawdown Debt – Loan 1 – Priority 3

The system will first address the deficit by redeeming from the highest priority option and will proceed to the next until the deficit is covered.

To use this feature, select the Auto Cashflow button from the top right of the Cashflow Modelling window.

Select Surplus or Deficit to open the options menu for either cash management rule.

Select the specific options you need for your model from the menu then:

  • Scroll down to access the scenario interface and enter or select data from the provided fields.

  • Once you have added the required details, you can further enhance the scenario or create a new scenario within the chosen cash management option.

  • Finally, once you have added all the modelling, select the Apply Changes button, you will navigate back to the main window with your changes applied to the graph.

Multiple Scenarios

When reviewing multiple financial strategies, it’s essential to compare scenarios side by side.

AdviserLogic now allows you to open and switch between multiple scenarios simultaneously, without needing to close any.

This makes it easier to evaluate and analyse various strategies across different financial models.

To use this feature simply create additional scenarios or duplicate the one you are working on. These will show as tabs along the top of the window, allowing you to quickly review.

Reports in Cashflow

Currently in the scoping phase – updates will follow once development begins.

Digital Advice Integration

Our updated Cashflow Modeling tool integrates seamlessly with Digital Advice scenarios, automatically transferring scenario details into the Statement of Advice (SoA). This integration removes the need to export scenarios to Excel for manual adjustments and reformatting. The base SoA supports this integration, and for any custom requirements, please contact support.
