Understanding Group SMA Functionality in AdviserLogic's Assets Screen

The Group SMA Functionality in AdviserLogic allows you to consolidate underlying investments within a Separately Managed Account (SMA) into a single-line SMA or ungroup existing holdings within the Assets Screen.

This feature provides flexibility in portfolio management, enabling you to:

  • View an accurate balance for each SMA as a single line item.

  • Expand holdings to see individual underlying investments when needed.

  • Generate precise advice based on client portfolio structures.

How SMA Grouping Works

  • When SMA grouping is turned off, you can view and manage each underlying investment separately, including their individual transactions.

  • When SMA grouping is turned on, only the total SMA balance is displayed, making it easier to manage and report on blended SMA holdings.

How to Enable or Disable Group SMA

Navigate to the Assets screen in AdviserLogic. When ungrouped SMA line items will show with a green dot in front of it.

Select or deselect the Group SMA option to switch between viewing individual holdings or a consolidated SMA balance.

This allows you to quickly adjust your portfolio views based on specific needs when managing client investments in the Assets section.

Group SMA Limitations

SMA grouping is not available for the following functions within AdviserLogic:
๐Ÿšซ Reverse Fact Find
๐Ÿšซ Docx Reports
๐Ÿšซ Review Investment Reports
๐Ÿšซ Client Web Portal

๐Ÿ“Œ Note

SMA holdings appear under the Investment section, but not within the Platform section.
