Overview
The Group SMA Functionality gives you the flexibility to group existing underlying investments within an SMA into a single-line SMA or ungroup them to view individual holdings.
This feature is available in the Assets screen, Digital Advice – Advice Tools & Scenarios, and the corresponding advice document where SMAs are supported.
You can group or ungroup SMAs for existing investments from the following Datafeed providers, ensuring greater control over how you view and manage SMA holdings:

⚠️Note
There are some limitations relating to the data sent to us by these providers.
Our team are working closely with product providers to resolve these limitations.
Netwealth | Currently, investment descriptions and codes are not being sent to us. As a result, you are unable to view the names of SMAs under Digital Advice when the grouping functionality is enabled. Additionally, this impacts the visibility of Investment Fees and Costs, meaning they will not be displayed within Digital Advice scenarios for grouped SMAs.
For accurate fee and investment details, you may need to manually enter the missing information or refer to external sources. |
Macquarie | Currently, individual SMA codes are being sent instead of descriptions, which affects how SMAs are displayed in AdviserLogic. Impact:
For clarity, manually referencing the corresponding SMA descriptions from external sources may be required. |
Praemium | How are Praemium’s SMAs different from other platforms? Praemium uses a blended approach to SMA management. This means that when a manager or investor initiates transactions, Praemium will first adjust holdings within the client’s SMA portfolio before executing external transactions.
Key Benefits for Clients:
