Overview

The Super Re-Contribution strategy in AdviserLogic Digital Advice enables you to model a scenario where a client withdraws a lump sum from their superannuation and then re-contributes that amount as a non-concessional contribution into the same or another super account. This can help reduce the taxable component of their super balance, which may lower tax payable on death benefits paid to non-dependant beneficiaries or assist with certain planning goals such as maximising transfer balance caps.

Re-contribution Strategy

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below to prepare advice for the Re-contribution Strategy.

📌Note

You may want to model a Rebalance Portfolio Strategy in the Cashflow Module, before completing this advice. The modelling can be added to the advice to support your recommendation.

From the Digital Advice - Scenarios Screen, select the Add Scenario icon.

Select the client the advice is for, or select Joint to create advice for your client and partner. Select the type of advice (SoA or RoA) then Proceed To Scope.

Select the Re-contribution strategy from the Strategy screen and Proceed.

Select either a Complete or Partial amount to be Re-contributed, depending on the client's circumstances and eligibility. You may also nominate where the withdrawn amount will be recontributed by selecting from the Contribute To drop-down menu.

Navigate to the investment portfolio screen to select the underlying investments for the available amount.

On the review page, a separate card will show a summary of the re-contribution strategy.

Select the Proceed to Disclosure Fees button located at the bottom right of the screen. From there, you can add your fees and complete your advice.

After completing the advice, you may add any previously created cashflow modelling to the scenario by selecting the Link Cashflow option from the Scenario Tile. The cashflow tables will be drawn into the final advice document.
