Understanding the "From" Address and Using the Reply To Feature
Sending emails through AdviserLogic is a simple and effective way to communicate with clients while automatically keeping their records up to date.
To improve security and ensure reliable email delivery, all emails sent from AdviserLogic now use a secure Morningstar domain.
Why the “From” Address Shows as [email protected]
To protect the integrity and deliverability of emails sent from the platform, AdviserLogic uses Morningstar’s secure SendGrid account to send all outbound emails.
As a result:
The From address on all emails will appear as: [email protected]
⚠️Important⚠️
This is a system-wide setting and cannot be changed by users.
The From field in the Email window is greyed out to prevent modification and to maintain email authentication standards (SPF/DKIM).
📩 How Clients See Your Emails
Although the email is technically sent from the Morningstar domain, the adviser’s name (taken from the Email Profile) is displayed as the sender. For example:

To the client, it appears as though the email is coming from you, not from a generic system address.
🔁 Reply To Functionality – Ensuring Clients Can Respond to You
To make sure client replies are sent directly to you (and not to the Morningstar system address), AdviserLogic includes a Reply To field.
👉 Here’s how it works:
Select the Reply To button from the main Email screen.
Set up an Email Profile with your name, email address, and signature. This address will be used as the default reply address when clients Reply.
📌Note
As long as a valid Email Profile is entered and verified, clients’ replies will go straight to your nominated inbox.
🖥️ What Clients See
The exact display may vary depending on the client’s email provider (e.g. Outlook, Gmail), but in most cases, they will see:
➤ Your name as the sender
➤ [email protected] as the sending address
➤ Your email address in the Reply-To field (invisible until they reply)
📌 Note
All replies rely on your Email Profile setup. If no profile is selected, clients may not be able to respond directly to you. Always ensure your Reply To details are complete and verified.
