Overview

To improve the security of the AdviserLogic email module, we’ve introduced a security enhancement that alters how emails are sent from the system. This update ensures emails are dispatched from the Morningstar domain, reducing the risk of spoofing and improving deliverability while safeguarding sensitive client communication data.

When the new Morningstar SendGrid account, sends any email from the Adviserlogic system, the domain will show as [email protected]. However, entering your adviser ID in the Reply To field allows clients to reply to the email and your email will show.

How it works

Open the Email in your Adviserlogic account from the left-hand menu panel. The email screen will load, and you will see.

The From button is greyed out as the domain for any email that is sent out of Adviserlogic will always be the same: [email protected].

📌Note

An email is sent out from Morningstar Domain but the Name will be the name of the Adviser profile selected when sending the email. For example, The below image shows Test Profile is the adviser and mails@alerts-morningstar is the Morningstar Domain from which the e-mail is sent from

The Reply To button will allow you to set up an Email Profile that includes the user’s signature, and all the replies will come to the same email address.

The client will receive the email from the Adviser and be able to reply to the email.

📌Note

This will show slightly differently depending on the recipient's email provider as shown above.

When an email is sent out from Adviserlogic, the recipient can reply to the Adviser, the email provider will use the email used in the Reply To field as the default.
