Overview

The Next Year Fee Projections feature in AdviserLogic helps you estimate and disclose projected adviser service fees for the upcoming fee disclosure period. This functionality supports compliance obligations by allowing practices to generate consistent fee projections based on existing fee arrangements and client service agreements.

Using projected fee data helps streamline Fee Disclosure Statement (FDS) preparation, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce the need for manual calculations across large client groups. AdviserLogic’s compliance functionality is designed to assist practices in managing ongoing fee disclosure requirements efficiently.

The Next Year Fee Projection is an essential tool within the Compliance module for advisers to create an accurate projection of the fees their clients will be charged on the assets they hold.

The Next Year Fee represents the total projected fee that will be charged on the client's assets in the coming year.

To view the Total Projected Fees, advisers can refer to the Compliance tab under the Next Year section. The Compliance tab displays the two types of fees that make up the Total Projected Fees.

Portfolio Based Fee

This fee can be charged as a percentage of the client's assets or an upfront amount, depending on what they hold. The Portfolio Based Fee section has the following actionable sections:

Fee Structure

Select Fee Structures applicable to the client from the dropdown. These can be applied to all the holdings or individually.

To create a Fee Structure, go to Tools > Admin Tools > Compliance > Fee Structure. Create Fees based on Percentage or an upfront amount.

Once created, the fees will be discoverable in the Fee Structure drop-down menu.

📌Note

The fee structure created in Administrative Tools > Compliance > Fee Structure is connected to the Portfolio Advice Fees Setup in Digital Advice > Scenarios > Settings > Portfolio Advice Fees Setup.

However, the calculation method used in the two areas is different. Digital Advice uses an income tax method, whereas a single rate based on the amount will be used for the whole amount in the next year's fee projection.
