Overview
AdviserLogic is a powerful financial planning software that helps you manage your clients' accounts and investments.
One of the key features of AdviserLogic is its ability to connect with datafeeds from various providers, allowing you to easily access and track your clients' financial information.
However, some advisers may encounter difficulties when trying to map their clients' accounts. In this article, we will guide you through the process of mapping client accounts in AdviserLogic.
Establishing the Datafeed
Before you can map your clients' accounts, you need to establish a datafeed from your provider.
🚧Important🚧
Please note that AdviserLogic does not map the datafeeds for you. However, our friendly support team is always available to assist you with this process.
If you need help setting up a datafeed, please feel free to contact AdviserLogic Support and one of our consultants will be happy to walk you through the process.
Mapping Client Accounts
Once the datafeed is established, mapping client accounts in AdviserLogic is relatively easy. Some providers have an automap function, which automatically maps the client accounts for you. However, this is not always the case. In such situations, you will need to manually map the client accounts.
To map a client's account, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Datafeed screen and select the provider from Datafeed Management > Select Platform from the dropdown.
Select the Adviser Code from the dropdown. option.
Search for the individual, and select the Map options.
Select the Map button. Choose From:
Create New - If the client is not added to Adviserlogic and you want to map the account code with the client without creating the client in the Fact Find.
Existing - To map the datafeed to an existing client. Recommended
Joint - To map the account code with the joint entity.
📌Note
Avoid mapping to the superannuation entity, as this is created by AdviserLogic after the account is mapped.
Always map to the Client’s Name, SMSF, or Trust.
If Super Is the Policy Owner
When a super fund owns an insurance policy, it should be linked to the corresponding super fund account rather than the client or partner.
Please ensure that the relevant super fund account is already present in the client's superannuation section.
Congratulations, you have successfully mapped your client's account in AdviserLogic!
