Mapping the datafeed to an Entity
When using AdviserLogic, it is important to map the datafeed to the correct entity in order to ensure accurate data and reporting. This article will guide you through the process of mapping the account code to an entity.
Access the Datafeed Screen
To begin, navigate to the Datafeed screen.
Locate the provider by selecting Datafeed Management and then choosing the appropriate provider from the dropdown menu or selecting All datafeeds.
Once on the Datafeed screen, select the Adviser Code from the dropdown menu.
Next, search for the individual you wish to map the account code to and select the Map option.
On the mapping screen, you will see a dropdown menu with various entity options. Select:
Existing Individual | Select this option to map the datafeed to an existing client held in your AdviserLogic database |
Joint Record | Select this option to map the datafeed to a jointly held account of clients within your AdviserLogic database |
Create New | Create this option to map to a client that doesn't yet exist in your adviserLogic database |
⚠️Note
Avoid Mapping to Superannuation Entity
It is recommended to avoid mapping to the superannuation entity, as this is automatically created by AdviserLogic once the account is mapped.
Instead, always map to the client's name, SMSF, Business or Trust.
👉 For Insurance Datafeeds
Where super is the policy owner, it should be mapped to the corresponding super fund account rather than the client or partner.
Please ensure that the relevant super fund account is already present in the respective client's superannuation section.
Refresh the Data
Once the account is mapped, search for the client again and select the refresh button. This will force the data through immediately, rather than waiting the requisite 24 hours.
Congratulations! You have successfully mapped the account code to an entity in AdviserLogic. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact our support team for help.
