Overview
Sharing datafeeds with other users within a practice can be a useful tool for collaboration and efficiency. By enabling this feature, other advisers and support staff within the practice will have access to the datafeed and be able to perform mapping, unmapping, remapping, and erase functions. This article will guide you through the steps to enable the Share Datafeed function and provide instructions for accessing datafeeds for investments and insurance.
Additionally, enabling this function requires users to have a specific type of license. For instance, an Investment Adviser Licence or Comprehensive Adviser Licence may be necessary for accessing investment datafeeds.
Share Datafeed
To enable the Share Datafeed function, navigate to Tools in the menu bar. Under the Adviser Profile / Preferences column select Share Datafeed.
Refresh the session , or log out and then log back in for the changes to take effect fully.
Scroll down and select Save to enable the feature.
Once the Share Datafeed function is enabled, all other users within the practice will have access to the datafeed and be able to perform mapping, unmapping, remapping, and erase functions.
It is important to note that access to datafeeds also depends on the licensing held by the users. For example, investment datafeeds require specific access rights linked to the type of license, such as the Investment Adviser Licence.
👉Other users may need to log out and back in to be able to access the datafeed.
Accessing Shared Investment Datafeeds
For investments, the datafeed provider list will not be visible from other users' Datafeed codes screen.
Instead, they will need to follow these steps to access the datafeed:
Go to Datafeed Management and select All Datafeeds.
Choose the desired platform from the list.
Select the Group Adviser.
Choose the Platform/Adviser.
Search for the clients under that provider.
Accessing Shared Insurance Datafeeds
Accessing the mapping for insurance datafeeds follows a similar process:
Go to All Insurance, select the Group Adviser, and Choose the Platform/Adviser.
Search for the required clients.
Criteria for User Access
Users with specific licenses, such as Investment Adviser Licence or Comprehensive Adviser Licence, are required for accessing investment datafeeds in the platform.
Users without the necessary licensing will not have full access to investment-related datafeeds. This ensures that access is granted according to regulatory requirements and user roles. Accessing Shared Investment Datafeeds
