Datafeed Setup Instructions

Open the instructions for each stage of the setup process by clicking the arrow below.

Stage 1

Register for Datafeeds

First-Time Registration

Log in to North Online

Access North Online using your North user ID and password.

💡Tip

If you don’t know your login details, use the Forgot your user ID or password? link on the login page or contact the North Service Centre on 1800 667 841 for assistance.

Access Data Feeds

Hover over the Reporting menu option on the navigation panel. When the menu expands, select Data Feeds.

On the Data Feeds page, choose an adviser from the dropdown list.

📌Note

You must register each adviser number separately if you have multiple adviser numbers.

If data feeds are not yet set up, proceed to register.

Choose your preferred data feed option from the Data Feeds Options section:

  • North Online 4.3

Check the Register for Data checkbox for your selected option and click Submit.

Read the terms and conditions carefully. Select Accept to proceed.

A notification will confirm if your registration was successful.

Inception files for all your clients will be generated as part of the registration process.

📌Note

  • Inception files will be sent automatically and be available the next day.

  • Repeat the steps for each adviser code requiring data feeds.

  • If registering for multiple data feeds, follow the same steps for each feed.

By completing these steps, you’ve successfully registered for data feeds on North Online.

Pre-Registered Accounts

If you have already registered your advisercodes in North online you will only need your Existing Adviser Codes -move directly to Stage 2 steps.

Stage 2

Datafeed Setup in AdviserLogic

Once you have registered your datafeed in North Online, follow the setup Datafeed instructions for AdviserLogic.

From your AdviserLogic account, navigate to Datafeeds, and select Datafeed Codes from the left menu panel. Select Add from the top right of the window.

Select MyNorth from the drop-down menu.

The necessary fields will show in a new window, enter the Adviser Code/s registered in Stage 1

💡Tip

  • Account: This refers to the AMP North account number.

  • Format: The code consists of 8 digits, always starting with "Y" (e.g., Y12345678).

Ensure accuracy when entering the code to avoid any setup issues.

The datafeed should be live within 72 hours.

Please check the File Received Last Date column from the datafeed landing page/datafeed codes page.

The last file received date should be within a few days of the current date.

Once the datafeed is established, you may also check this page to troubleshoot common datafeed issues.

💡Tip

It is a good idea to determine the code's expiry date from your provider and set a task for the following year to prevent datafeed interruptions.

If the datafeed credentials have expired and the datafeed has been inactive for some time the result will reflect in incorrect balances within the client's assets.

Stage 3

Map Client Account

Once the datafeed is live you need to Map the client's accounts from the Datafeed to AdviserLogic.

Navigate to the Datafeed screen and select the provider from Datafeed Management > Select Platform from the dropdown.

Select the Adviser Code from the dropdown. option.

Search for the individual, and select the Map options.

Select the Map button. Choose From:

Create New - If the client is not added to Adviserlogic and you want to map the account code with the client without creating the client in the Fact Find.

Existing - To map the datafeed to an existing client. Recommended

Joint - To map the account code with the joint entity.

📌Note

Avoid mapping to the superannuation entity, as AdviserLogic creates this after the account is mapped.

Always map to the Client’s Name, SMSF, or Trust.

If Super Is the Policy Owner

When a super fund owns an insurance policy, it should be linked to the corresponding super fund account rather than the client or partner.

Please ensure that the relevant super fund account is already present in the client's superannuation section.

Once the account is mapped, search for the client again and select the Refresh button. This will force the data through immediately, rather than waiting the requisite 24 hours.

Investment Datafeeds are only available to users holding an Investment Adviser License or Comprehensive Adviser License.

Contact your CSM for more information on Licence Types.

General Information

What information is not available?

Insurance Policy Information

What conflicts might it cause?

Conflicts can arise when MyNorth and AdviserLogic receive datafeeds from the same source.

This is most frequently an issue when Asgard and Macquarie accounts are present.

Have there been any name changes or Provider Mergers? If yes what data is being received for the merged provider?

Formerly AXA North

Also known as AMP North
