Datafeed Setup Instructions
Open the instructions for each stage of the setup process by clicking the arrow below.
Stage 1
Retrieve Credentials
Retrieve Credentials
The following instructions are for the adviser to authorise the feed on the online BT Panorama platform.
Retrieve your datafeed credentials from the Bt Panorama portal.
Log into your BT Panorama online account and navigate to the Data Feeds Screen Business > Data feeds.
Select Create new data feed.
In the pop-up enter
Software - AdviserLogic
Subscription Level:
Adviser - All accounts
Account - Single account
*when opting for the Account option, you will have to provide the name of a single client account to get the datafeed.
Once completed, please tick the box authorising BT Panorama to send the data to Morningstar AdviserLogic, then Create Feed.
The first file will run overnight, but it may take up to 72 hours to complete.
Stage 2
Setup Datafeed in AdviserLogic
Setup Datafeed in AdviserLogic
Once you have the current datafeed credentials, you will need to follow the setup Datafeed instructions for AdviserLogic.
Go to Datafeeds and from the Datafeed Codes screen select Add.
Select BT Panorama from the drop-down menu.
Enter your BT Panorama credentials in the required fields and Save.
💡Tip
BT Panorama Adviser Code
Format: A 9-digit numeric code (e.g., 201812345).
Usage: Required to activate the BT Panorama datafeed in AdviserLogic.
✅ Ensure you enter the correct Adviser Code to enable a smooth datafeed connection.
Please check the File Received Last Date column from the datafeed landing page/datafeed codes page.
The last file received date should be within a few days of the current date.
Once the datafeed is established, you may also check this page to troubleshoot common datafeed issues.
💡Tip
It is a good idea to determine the code's expiry date from your provider and set a task for the following year to prevent datafeed interruptions.
If the datafeed credentials have expired and the datafeed has been inactive for some time the result will reflect in incorrect balances within the client's assets.
Stage 2
Map Client Accounts
Map Client Accounts
Once the datafeed is live you need to Map the client's accounts from the Datafeed to AdviserLogic.
Navigate to the Datafeed screen and select the provider from Datafeed Management > Select Platform from the dropdown.
Select the Adviser Code from the dropdown. option.
Search for the individual, and select the Map options.
Select the Map button. Choose From:
Create New - If the client is not added to Adviserlogic and you want to map the account code with the client without creating the client in the Fact Find.
Existing - To map the datafeed to an existing client. Recommended
Joint - To map the account code with the joint entity.
📌Note
Avoid mapping to the superannuation entity as this is created by AdviserLogic once the account is mapped.
Always map to the Client’s name, SMSF or Trust If Super Is the Policy Owner.
When Super is the Policy Owner
It should be linked to the corresponding super fund account rather than the client or partner. Please ensure that the relevant super fund account is already present in the respective client's superannuation section.
Once the account is mapped search for the client again and select the refresh button. This will force the data through immediately, rather than waiting the requisite 24 hours.
Investment Datafeeds are only available to users holding an Investment Adviser License or Comprehensive Adviser License.
Contact your CSM for more information on License Types.
General Information
In 2021, BT progressively migrated all BT Wrap accounts to BT Panorama. The Provider did not migrate Historical Transactions, so if you are enabling a Panorama account which was formerly a BT Wrap account, history will be restricted to transactions post-migration.
