There are separate instructions for Adviser and Licensee users, please follow the instructions that relate to you to activate the datafeed from the below AFSL/Adviser Instructions

Adviser Instructions - Contact AFSL

To initiate this process, please send the email provided below:

Subject: Asgard data feed for AdviserLogicTo: [Licencee/ Dealer Group Name]

To do so, can you please initiate the activation via the Asgard licensee-level online login.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Log in to the licensee version of Asgard

  2. Go to Tools > Data downloads > Application for EPI auto downloads.

  3. Nominate AdviserLogic as the third-party provider.

  4. Select my Adviser Code only

  5. Select the I accept option.

  6. Submit.

Please let me know when this process has been completed.

Kind Regards.

Once Complete Proceed to Stage 2

💡Tip

Ensure that the data feed is set up with the correct third-party data provider to ensure that the information flows through.

  • Adviser codes can only be linked to one automatic data feed. Therefore, the existing feed will need to be deleted, and a new feed will need to be set up with the information flowing to the correct third-party provider.

  • To avoid any issues you will need to delete the existing automatic data feed at the dealer level, wait for the following weekend refresh to run and then follow the below instructions to set up a new data feed.

AFSL Instructions

📌Note

If you are setting up a second Asgard datafeed to AdviserLogic, skip the following instructions and proceed to Stage 2. To set up the datafeed, you need to make some changes in the Master account of Asgard's 'AdviserNET' software.

Following these instructions once will commence the feed for both Insurance and Investment data.

If you have access to the Master AFSL-level 'AdviserNET' account, simply follow the instructions provided and confirm that AdviserLogic is set up as a Third-Party Provider option.

Log into your AdviserNET account, then go to Tools > Data Downloads > EPI Download.

Select Add.

Enter a download name (maximum of 50 characters), and select Third Party under the Download type. From the drop-down menu, choose AdviserLogic.

Ensure that all options are ticked, and Save.

Once Complete Proceed to Stage 2.

Stage 2

Datafeed Setup in AdviserLogic

Once the AFSL has activated the datafeed you will need to follow the setup Datafeed instructions for adviserlogic.

Go to Datafeeds, and select Datafeed Codes from the left menu panel. Select Add.

Select Asgard from the drop-down menu.

Then enter the stored credentials in the required fields and Save.

💡Tip

Account Code:

  • Must be 11 characters long.

  • The 3rd and 4th last characters should be "BA" (e.g., XXXXXXXXBAXX).

Adviser Number:

  • No spaces or hyphens should be included.

  • Example: If your Adviser Number is 2123252-BA-01, enter it as 2123252BA01.

The datafeed should be live within 72 hours.

Please check the File Received Last Date column from the datafeed landing page/datafeed codes page.

The last file received date should be within a few days of the current date.

Once the datafeed is established, you may also check this page to troubleshoot common datafeed issues.

💡Tip

It is a good idea to determine the code's expiry date from your provider and set a task for the following year to prevent datafeed interruptions.

If the datafeed credentials have expired and the datafeed has been inactive for some time the result will reflect in incorrect balances within the client's assets.

Stage 3

Map Datafeeds to Clients

Once the datafeed is live you will need to Map the client's accounts from the Datafeed to AdviserLogic.

Go to the Datafeed screen and select the provider from Datafeed Management > Select Platform from the dropdown.

Select the Adviser Code from the dropdown, then search for the individual.

Select the Map button.
Choose from:

  • Create New - If the client is not added to Adviserlogic and you want to map the account code with the client without creating the client.

  • Existing - To map the datafeed to an existing client.

  • Joint - To map the account code with the joint entity.
Select the Map button. Choose From:

Once the account is mapped search for the client again and select the refresh button. This will force the data through immediately, rather than waiting the requisite 24 hours.

📌Note

Avoid mapping to the superannuation entity, as AdviserLogic creates this after the account is mapped.

Always map to the Client’s Name, SMSF, or Trust.

If Super Is the Policy Owner

When a super fund owns an insurance policy, it should be linked to the corresponding super fund account rather than the client or partner.

Please ensure that the relevant super fund account is already present in the client's superannuation section.

Investment Datafeeds are only available to users holding an Investment Adviser License or Comprehensive Adviser License. Contact your CSM for more information on License Types.

General Information

What conflicts might it cause?

Asgard provides a Datafeed to Class. If a Class Datafeed is active within AdviserLogic, it may conflict with the Asgard Datafeed and cause duplication.
