Overview
Zapier
What is Zapier?
Zapier is an online automation tool that connects different apps and services, allowing users to create automated workflows without needing to code. These workflows, called Zaps, trigger actions in one app based on events in another, helping streamline tasks and improve efficiency. You can use Zapier to automatically sync data between AdviserLogic and other applications like Google Sheets, CRMs, or email platforms.
Example
You want to add a new client’s contact details in Office 365 contacts, whenever a new client is added in your AdviserLogic account.
You can create a Zap between AdviserLogic and Office 365. All you need to do, is set up the Trigger and the Action, and Zapier does the rest for you.
This is just one of the endless scenarios made possible by this integration, so that you can focus on other more important tasks.
What is a Zap?
An integration between two applications is called a Zap. It is very lightweight and easy to set up. It doesn’t import or export old data (it only operates on new items created after the Zap is enabled).
If you're used to dealing with complex and difficult integrations a Zap is incredibly simple . Its simplicity is what enables anyone to create it, and why we chose to integrate it with AdviserLogic.
Each Zap is a one-way integration between applications, so should not be considered a sync setup.
Getting started with AdviserLogic on Zapier
Firstly, contact [email protected] and request Zapier Access.
Generate API Key
Go to Tools > API Integration > Generate API Secret Key to get your Encrypted API access Key and Password.
In the API Management interface, you will first see an existing API Key and password with a Re-Generate button on the left side of the screen. On the right side, you'll find a list of any previously generated API keys. If no keys have been generated yet, this section will be blank, and the button will instead say Generate.
To create a new API key, choose the Generate or Re-Generate button.
📌Note
A warning confirmation message will open if you have existing keys, asking you to confirm the action because generating a new key will expire any existing keys. If you have no existing keys no warning will show.
AdviserLogic will produce a unique API Key and Password which will expire 1 year from the date it was generated.
💡Tip
This Key and Password will remain in the left section to be copied and pasted as required.
Setup Zap
Once you have generated API keys, select Zapier from the left navigation panel.
👉If you do not see the Zapier option, contact [email protected] to activate Zapier for you.
Activating Zapier will not incur an additional cost however you must have a paid Zapier account.
This will open the AdviserLogic Zaps window, where you can select the desired integration by choosing Use this Workflow next to the relevant integration.
