Dictating in AdviserLogic
Want to speed up your transfer of information from review meetings with your clients or even record meetings directly into your file notes? Check out our latest tip of the week that shows you how to quickly turn on your microphone to dicate directly into AdivserLogic:
For Windows users:
Windows button + H
For Mac users:
Enable Dictation: Go to System Settings > Keyboard > Dictation and turn it on.
Set up Dictation: Choose your desired microphone and other settings.
Start Dictation: Use the assigned keyboard shortcut (usually Fn + Fn, or Command + F5) or select "Start Dictation" from the Edit menu.

What’s New in Legislation – Effective July 2025
We’ve applied significant legislative updates across AdviserLogic to ensure compliance and accurate modelling.
These changes also impact multiple modules, including Fact Find, Holistic Cashflow, Cashflow 2.0, Retirement Goal Calculator, Engagement Tools, Digital Advice, and Insurance Quoting.
Tax & Levy Updates
Personal Tax Rates: Unchanged for 2025–26.
Medicare Levy thresholds:
Singles: Nil up to $27,222 (was $24,276), 10% up to $34,027, then 2%.
Families: Nil up to $45,907 (was $43,846), 10% up to $57,383, then 2%.
Seniors & Pensioners: Higher thresholds apply (e.g., singles now Nil up to $43,020).
Medicare Levy Surcharge:
Singles: 0% up to $101,000; scales to 1.5% above $158,000.
Families: 0% up to $202,000; scales to 1.5% above $316,000.
Tax Offsets & Contributions
Low Income Tax Offset (LITO): Max $700 (unchanged).
SAPTO & Spouse Contribution Offset: No threshold changes.
Superannuation Changes
Super Guarantee: Increased to 12% (from 11.5%).
Transfer Balance Cap: Increased to $2 million (was $1.9M).
Government Co-contribution: New income thresholds: $47,488–$62,488.
Untaxed Lump Sum Cap: Increased to $1.78M (was $1.65M).
Division 296 tax: New 15% tax on super balances over $3M.
Centrelink & Social Security Updates
Age Pension:
Single: $1,149 per fortnight.
Couples combined: $866.10 per fortnight.
Asset Test Full Pension Threshold:
Singles (homeowner): $321,500; Couples: $481,500.
FTB A & B: Higher income thresholds and payment rates applied.
Insurance Commission Consent – From 9 July 2025
Advisers must now obtain explicit client consent before receiving insurance commissions on new policies where the first premium is paid after this date. Consent must include:
Insurer name, commission %, and payment frequency.
Statements confirming the legal requirement, irrevocability, and policy life validity.

Updated SOA & ROA templates with compliant wording.
Added dynamic text for commission scenarios (appears only when needed).
Enhanced ATP section with consent requirements and optional service disclosure.
