Overview
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps secure your AdviserLogic account by sending a verification code to your registered mobile number. If the SMS does not arrive, you may be unable to log in. This article explains the common reasons for missing codes and how you can resolve the issue quickly.
Reasons for Not Receiving the SMS
Not receiving a verification code on SMS, even after registering for MFA, is usually caused by an issue with your mobile provider’s network. You may also experience delays if your device has poor reception, if automated messages are being blocked, or if your registered mobile number is incorrect.
Alternative Ways to Access AdviserLogic
If you are unable to receive the SMS verification code, you can use your Recovery Code or switch to an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to complete the login process.
The Recovery Code is a single-use backup code that was provided when you first registered your AdviserLogic account. You can enter this code in place of the SMS to access your account.
An authenticator app is another secure option for generating verification codes. To use this method, download either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device, then follow the setup instructions provided during MFA configuration.
If you no longer have your Recovery Code, if the code does not work, or if you would like to change your MFA method from SMS to an authenticator app, you can contact AdviserLogic Support by phone, chat, or email, and our team will help you reset your MFA settings and update your authentication method or get the Recovery code.
