⚠️Important

The Client Web Portal is available only to users with an Adviser licence. This functionality is not available for Paraplanner or Support licences.

Overview

The Client Web Portal (CWP) is a secure, read-only platform that allows clients to view their financial information, including investments, superannuation, liabilities, and shared documents – in one place.

Designed to enhance client engagement, the portal reflects your professional service while giving clients convenient access to their financial snapshot.

Clients can track their portfolio performance, view key reports, and receive documents securely, while all data management remains under your control within AdviserLogic.

Access

To enable portal access for an individual client, go to the client’s record and open the Client Home tab.

⚠️Important

Before enabling access, ensure that all investments have been added to the client profile and that the correct Adviser is selected in Fact Find 2.0, as only the selected Adviser can grant access.

Instructions

Set up client access

On the Client Home tab, select Set up Client Portal on the client’s card.

The Set up Client Access window wil open with portal access options.

💡It’s recommended to verify the client’s data first so the information they see in the portal is accurate and up to date.

Open Link

The Open icon next to an active portal lets you preview or test the corresponding site in a new browser tab.

Set Client Access

Once you’ve configured access levels, select Set Client Access to confirm and apply your changes.

Setup Client Web Portal Access

Click the Sync button to push the latest client data to the portal. Wait for the status to change to Syncing and complete.

You may then click Open to preview the portal in Adviser View.

Toggle Client Web Portal Access to ON and select Set Client Access.

The client’s email will auto-fill as their login ID. If this is correct, select Send Invite to send the Invitation to your Primary client.

📌Note

If the email is already used by another client, an error will appear. Ensure each login email is unique.

The Client Web Portal temporary password and invite will be sent to the primary client's email address as entered into Fact Find.

If the partner is more likely to be the one to manage the finances, you can select the Edit Icon at this stage to amend the email address associated with the account.

A confirmation prompt will show, and the Set Client Access button will no longer show in the client's Home page. You can still open the Set Access window by selecting the client access link within the client's Home screen.

📌Note

After access is enabled, the Sync button will no longer be available. Future updates sync automatically overnight.

Client registration process

Clients receive a welcome email containing a secure link to set up their password. This link is valid for 12 hours.

Clients must enter and confirm a new password, then click Reset Password.

You will then be prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to add an extra layer of security to your Client Web Portal account.

If you choose SMS authentication, select your country from the drop-down list and enter your mobile number. Do not include the leading zero in your phone number.

Select Continue to receive a six-digit verification code via SMS. Enter the code into the verification field and select Continue to complete the enrolment process.

Once verification is successful, a recovery code will be displayed. Save this code in a Word document, Notepad file, Excel file, or another secure location, as it can be used to access your account if you lose access to your mobile device or are unable to receive verification codes.

After recording the code, select the I have safely recorded this code checkbox and click Continue to complete the MFA setup process.

⚠️Important

Recovery codes are single-use only. When a recovery code is used to log in, a new recovery code is generated and the previous code is no longer valid. Ensure you save the new recovery code before continuing.

Once you have saved your recovery code and clicked Continue, you will be directed to the biometric setup page. This page allows you to enable biometric authentication, such as Face ID or fingerprint recognition, for future logins on your device.

If you would like to enable biometric authentication, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

If you do not wish to enable biometric authentication at this time, select Remind Me Later to be prompted again in the future, or select Not on This Device to skip biometric setup for the current device.

📌Note

Biometric authentication is optional and can provide a faster and more convenient login experience on supported devices.

If you choose Google Authenticator or a similar authenticator application, please follow the instructions in the Set Up MFA Using an Authenticator App section to complete the MFA enrolment process.

💡Tip

After completing MFA enrolment, you will be prompted to enter a verification code each time you log in to the Client Web Portal. When logging in again, you can select the Remember this browser for 30 days checkbox after entering your verification code and before clicking Continue.

If selected, you will not be prompted to enter a verification code when logging in from the same browser and device for the next 30 days. After this period, MFA verification will be required again.

Preview the client view

Before enabling access, you can preview exactly what the client will see by using the Adviser View.

Click the Open link next to the Client Web Portal toggle to launch the preview.

This allows you to review:

  • Asset and liability balances

  • Investment performance charts

  • Top holdings and asset allocation

  • Shared documents

You can return to the client’s record to update or resync any data before sending the invitation.

Control client visibility settings

To customise the pages available to clients in the Client Web Portal, navigate to Tools > Client Web Portal > Settings.

In the Page Visibility section, select the pages you want to make available to clients.

Enable Display Overview and Investment Page to allow clients to access both the Overview and Investment pages. When this option is selected, you can also choose whether to display Return Information and Cumulative Contributions within the Investment page.

If required, enable Display Documents Page to allow clients to view documents shared through the Client Web Portal.

Once you have finished configuring the settings, select Save to apply your changes.

📌Note

To learn more about the available Client Web Portal settings and configuration options, see Client Web Portal Settings.

Client password resets

If a client forgets their password, they can select Forgot Password? on the Client Web Portal login page. After entering their registered email address, a password reset email will be sent with a link to create a new password. Once the password has been reset successfully, they can sign in to the Client Web Portal using their email address and new password.

Monitor Client Web Portal Access

AdviserLogic provides tools to monitor client access to the Client Web Portal, including login activity and portal status.

On the Client Home tab, you can view the client's portal status, last login activity and other account information.

To view portal activity for all clients, navigate to Tools > Adviser Tools > Client Web Portal > Master Client Access.

The Master Client Access dashboard provides an overview of all clients with access to the Client Web Portal.

📌Note

The Client Web Portal is a read-only portal. Clients can view their information but cannot edit or update any data. They can, however, upload documents through the Documents section for their adviser to review.
