Issues Caused by Expired Datafeed Credentials
Expired adviser codes can cause several issues that may disrupt data synchronisation and impact your workflow.
Here are some common problems that can arise:
Datafeed Balances Not Updating Correctly | Expired credentials can prevent AdviserLogic from retrieving the latest account balances. This may result in outdated or incorrect financial data being displayed. |
Missing or Incomplete Transaction Data | If the adviser code has expired, transaction data may no longer sync properly. This could lead to missing investment purchases, sales, or contributions. |
Delays in Portfolio Performance Reporting | AdviserLogic relies on accurate, up-to-date data to generate performance reports. Expired credentials may cause reports to reflect incomplete or incorrect investment data. |
Incorrect Client Account Information | Client holdings, valuations, and investment positions may not be updated. This can lead to discrepancies between AdviserLogic and the provider’s actual records. |
Errors or Failed Datafeed Imports | The system may flag errors when attempting to import new data. Some providers may automatically disable the datafeed until credentials are updated. |
⚠️Important⚠️
Outdated or missing data may impact compliance reporting and financial advice documentation. Advisers could unknowingly provide recommendations based on inaccurate data.
If your datafeed balances appear incorrect, the most common cause is an expired password. Fortunately, this can be quickly resolved by following the steps below.
Check the Datafeed Landing Page
Navigate to the Datafeed Landing Page or select Datafeed Codes within AdviserLogic.
Here, you can view the last file received date for the provider in question.
Verify the Last File Received Date
If the last file received is not from the past few days, it is likely that your password has expired.
Reset Your Credentials
To reset your password, follow the instructions provided by AdviserLogic.
These instructions can be found by selecting the Datafeed FAQ button from the left menu panel within the Datafeed Module.
Locate your provider from the list and follow the provider credential steps.
💡Tip
It is a good idea to determine the code's expiry date from your provider and set a task for the following year to prevent datafeed interruptions.
If the datafeed credentials have expired and the datafeed has been inactive for some time the result will reflect in incorrect balances within the client's assets.
