Overview
This article explains why you may see the “Oops! something went wrong” message when attempting to log in to AdviserLogic. The error is usually linked to browser-cache problems, outdated browsers, or active sessions. You can resolve it using a few simple steps.
How to resolve the error
There are three ways to resolve the “Oops! something went wrong” login message. You can try any of the options below, starting with clearing your browser cache.
Clear your browser cache
There are two ways to proceed when clearing your browser cache.
Go to the padlock icon in front of the AdviserLogic URL in the address bar of your browser.
Select Cookies and Site data from the drop-down.
Select Manage Cookies and site data
Select the Trashcan Icons next to each listing, then select Done, and try logging in again.
Alternatively, by opening a new tab in your Google Chrome browser, select the vertical ellipsis (three dots), then select Settings.
Select Privacy and Security then select Clear Browsing Data
Select the browsing history and the cached images boxes. We recommend not clearing the cookies and other site data to begin with, as it will log you out of all programs you are signed in to. However, once you have exhausted all other steps this may have to be done.
Update the browser
Ensure you are using the latest version of your internet browser.
Open a new tab in your Google Chrome browser, select the vertical ellipsis (three dots), put the cursor on Help, then select About Google Chrome
Your browser may begin updating automatically, ensuring you are using the most current version without needing to update it manually.
After Google Chrome updates, avoid clicking Relaunch. Instead, close the browser, refresh your screen, and then reopen Chrome.
Use the AdviserLogic logout link
If clearing your cache and updating your browser do not resolve the issue, you can use the AdviserLogic logout link. This forces the system to close any previous AdviserLogic sessions that may be causing the error.
💡Tip
You can also open a private or incognito window to log in to AdviserLogic, which lets you sign in without using any stored cache or cookies.
