Getting Started

Learn how to get started with AdviserLogic through guided training and related Help Centre resources.

Overview

The AdviserLogic Getting Started learning path helps you develop the core skills needed to use AdviserLogic confidently.

The learning path combines self-paced training modules in Morningstar Academy with supporting Help Centre articles. The modules cover site navigation, client data, client engagement, advice production, ongoing client management and practice management.

Complete the modules in order where possible. After completing each module, use the related Help Centre articles to review individual features and follow detailed instructions while practising in AdviserLogic.

Access

You can access Morningstar Academy directly from AdviserLogic. Select Help Centre/Support from the top-right menu, scroll down the Home screen in the support window, then select Academy. Morningstar Academy will open in a new browser tab.

When accessing Morningstar Academy for the first time, or after clearing your browser cache, you may be asked to enter your AdviserLogic credentials and complete your Academy profile. You can also skip the profile setup and continue to the Academy home screen.

To support your onboarding, we have arranged the Morningstar Academy modules in a recommended learning sequence and matched each module with relevant AdviserLogic Help Centre articles.

Work through the modules in order to build your knowledge progressively, then use the supplementary articles for detailed instructions, additional context and quick reference as you begin completing tasks in AdviserLogic. You can also return to individual modules and articles at any time when you need a refresher on a particular feature or process.

For more information, see How to use Morningstar Academy.

Ask Ava for Help

You can ask Ava for help while completing the modules or working in AdviserLogic. Select Help Centre/Support from the top-right menu, then select Ask a Question from the Home or Messages section.

Enter a clear and specific question, Ava searches AdviserLogic support content and provides guidance based on your question. You can also ask follow-up questions in the same conversation.

If the first response does not resolve your question, rephrase it using shorter or more specific wording. You can ask to speak with a support agent when further assistance is required.

If a direct module link does not open, confirm that you are signed in to Morningstar Academy using your AdviserLogic credentials. You can also access the Academy from Help Centre/Support > Home > Academy, then search for New User Pack or the individual course title.

If you cannot find a course, open the Catalog and use the search field. You can use the available content type, category and enrolment status filters to narrow the results.

If a Help Centre link does not open, search for the article using its displayed title in the AdviserLogic Help Centre.

If a feature shown in a module or article is not available in your account, ask your practice administrator to confirm that you have the required permissions. You can also ask Ava where the feature is located or how it is used.
